ITI- Industrial Training Institute is a Technical course one can join after successful completion of class 10th or Matriculation.

Eligibility for ITI

The eligibility criteria for the ITI course is as follows-

 

·         A pass in 8th,10th or Matriculation from any recognized Board.

·         some ITI courses are available which you can join even after the 10th.

·         12th pass students can also Join the ITI course.

·         For most of the courses, the minimum age at the time of admission should not be less than 14 years.

·         The maximum age should be below 40 years. Age relaxation for reserved quota students is also available.

·         for most of the state government ITI colleges, you have to appear and qualify in the different sate ITI entrance exams.



ITI course after 12th

This is an important question asked by a lot of students. Can the ITI course be done even after the 12th?

Yes, even after twelfth you can join the ITI course. But the condition is that you must have maths and science subjects in the twelfth.

The benefit of doing ITI after 12th is that you are a bit mature, you are more understanding of science and math subjects.

 

You can better disguise your ITI trade.


Duration of ITI Course

As you know how the ITI course has been designed so that technical education can be given to as many people as possible.

Therefore the duration of the ITI course also varies, some courses can be of 6 months, 9 months, one year or even 2 years. Most courses after which you can do engineering or diploma, the duration of the course is 2 years.

ITI course fees

Tuition fees for ITI courses in India start from 5 thousand per year and go up to 50 thousand per year for some private institutes. the tuition fees for government colleges are Low, whereas the tuition fees for private colleges are High. the average tuition fees for Government colleges are around 7 thousand per year, and for private colleges, it comes approximately 25 thousand per year.

note.- students have to pay for their book extra, and for Exam also they have to pay each semester separately. (exam fees will be around 500 to 1000 per semester)

We can divide that into two main parts-

Govt. Jobs ITI

After doing ITI, you can get a lot of government jobs. Initially, this post will be elementary, but later on, you can take a lot of promotions and reach a good position.
Initially, you may get less salary if you do a government job, but with time you will get a good salary. There are lots of positions in many state governments in which only ITI people can apply. A particular reservation is there for ITI students.
Apart from this, you can also apply for various other jobs in the Central Government, in defence, in the electricity department and other central government departments.

Private Jobs after ITI

After doing ITI, you have the option of a lot of private jobs, which you can choose according to your branch and interest.

Higher education After ITI

Higher education options after the ITI course is open for all students. Those who have completed the 2-year industrial training institute course can join Polytechnic courses directly in 2nd year.
the branch they will get in Polytechnic depends on the department they studied in ITI.
Or they can go for other courses also.

If a student wants to graduate after ITI, then he has to do twelfth. Or the other option is that with his ITI course, if he gets plus two from NIOS, then he can also graduate from NIOS after completing his ITI course.
