What is
Apprenticeship Degree Program or Industry-Synergized Higher Education or Work
Integrated Learning Program (WILP)? And, what are the benefits of an Industry Synergized
MBA?
What's an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is an educational program that combines practical on-the-job training with classroom learning. During this time, you're employed to perform regular tasks while studying for formal education or a degree. As an apprentice, you work alongside experienced staff, gaining valuable work experience and job-specific skills. During this time, you get a salary, including holiday pay and time for study related to your role, which typically takes at least 20% of your working hours.
Pros and cons of apprenticeship
Here are some common advantages of apprenticeships
You get practical experience
You improve your skills
You get paid
You finish without debt
You can get certified
There are many careers to choose from
·Accounting apprenticeships
·Banking apprenticeships
·Business apprenticeships
·IT/ITES apprenticeships
·Marketing apprenticeships
·Media apprenticeships
.Manufacturing Operations, etc.
Launched in India in 2016, degree apprenticeships allow you to gain a degree alongside working. A Level 6 apprenticeship qualifies you with a full bachelor's degree, while a Level 7 qualifies you with a master's degree.
The apprenticeship combines working with part-time university studies, which can either take the form of one day a week or a block of days each month. The apprenticeship takes between three and six years to complete.
Why should a fresher register for an apprenticeship degree
program? or,
Why should I consider a degree apprenticeship?
Degree apprenticeships are especially helpful if you're stuck choosing between an apprenticeship and going to university as they combine the best of both worlds.
Who can do a degree apprenticeship?
Degree apprenticeships tend to be targeted at 18-19-year-old school leavers or lower level apprentices moving upwards. If you already have a degree, you can enrol onto some degree apprenticeships, so long as your degree is in a different field to the one you're applying to.
How do degree apprenticeships work?
The government pays two-thirds of the cost of your degree, and your employer pays the other third, meaning you can leave your apprenticeship debt free.
Apprentices work full-time throughout the year, with 21 days paid holiday plus bank holidays off.
A degree-level apprenticeship allows you to earn while you learn. Salary varies depending on your apprenticeship, age, company, sector, and the location you're working in. The Indian Apprentice minimum wage is 400 per day, but some companies pay more than double that amount. For example, Jaguar Land Rover's engineering apprentices have a starting salary of 15,500 a year.
What areas can you do the degree in?
Degree apprenticeship fields are narrower than traditional apprenticeships and are only available in areas that require 'high levels of academia, including:
·Aerospace Engineering
·Business & Administration
·Construction
·Digital
·Health & Science
.Production and Manufacturing
Apprenticeships are available at a wide variety of companies including both big names such as BT and Mondelez, and also smaller companies.
What university do you get the degree from? or
In which
college/university will I get admission if I register for Apprenticeship Degree
Program or Industry-Synergized Higher Education or Work Integrated Learning
Program (WILP)?
The university depends on which sector you're working in and which degree apprenticeship you're completing. Quite often you won't be studying at the actual university due to distance, with classes being held online or at an institution close to where you work.
Where can I find a degree apprenticeship? or
Where will
I get a job or apprenticeship if I register for a technical or vocational
course?
Use Apprenticeship Finder's www.NETAPS.in to find more information about vacancies and their entry requirements contact or WhatsApp on +91 78925-30528 or write to netapsfoundation@gmail.com
What
are the benefits of an Apprenticeship Degree Program or Industry Synergized Education or Work Integrated Learning Program(WILP) or Corporate Integrated Education?
What are the benefits of a Degree Apprenticeship?
Benefits of a degree apprenticeship.
·The main benefit of doing a degree apprenticeship compared to the traditional university route is that the degree is paid for by your company, so you leave with a degree and zero student debt
·You're also employed full-time throughout the degree and earn a salary
·Degree apprenticeships allow you to get a head start in your profession over students leaving university without the same level of work experience you have
·Apprentices also develop 'soft skills' from working, which employers love, such as communication skills, the ability to work under pressure to deadlines, teamwork, and problem-solving
·You get mentoring and support from your employer
·You can put what you learn at university straight into practice, helping develop your understanding of the material
·By the time your apprenticeship ends you'll have at least three years of networking experience and have made contacts that'll help you later on in your career
·Degree apprentices are technically students, so you still get all the student discount perks
·Most apprentice programs will have a guaranteed job at the end of it, with lots of opportunities for progression within the company
How many types of apprenticeships are there?
There are four levels of apprenticeships: intermediate, advanced, higher, and degree:
·Intermediate: These are Level 2 apprenticeships equivalent to five GCSE passes. They are a great alternative for those who are 16 years old and want to pursue an alternative path to staying at school.
·Advanced: Advanced programmes are Level 3 apprenticeships equivalent to two good A-level passes. They're typically great for people who've just left school and are unsure about going to university.
·Higher: Higher apprenticeships provide an opportunity to gain Level 4 qualifications and are equivalent to a foundation degree or other type of first stage degree. They typically take from one to five years to complete.
·Degree: These are similar to higher apprenticeships and are often comparable or equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (Level 6) or Master's degree (Level 7). It's a fairly new type of apprenticeship programme which combines working and studying part-time at a university.
What is Apprenticeship Degree Program or Employment Degree Program or Apprenticeship Based Education?
Degree Apprenticeship is a job combined with a university degree. It allows the student to work while studying. The offering of degree apprenticeship is aimed to make the student industry-ready, equipped with both, job skills as well as educational qualifications.
Hence, Apprenticeship Degree Programs are different to traditional academic qualifications because they combine practice and theory with a mixture of on-the-job and off-the-job training. One of the main differences between apprenticeships and degrees is that with apprenticeships you learn and earn, but with degrees, you just learn.
Is apprenticeship and internship same?
Apprenticeships are paid experiences that often lead to full-time employment. Internships are often unpaid and may not lead to a full-time job. Apprenticeships lead to an industry-recognized credential. Internships typically do not lead to a credential.
Does apprenticeship guarantee a job?
In some cases, people who complete an apprenticeship can reach the professional certification level of competence. In other cases, they can be offered a permanent job at the company that provided the placement
