**Kind Attention, Students, Job Seekers and Parents**
On August 13, 2024, the government released the new **NIRF rankings**, highlighting the top institutions in India. **IIT Madras** has led engineering for the past six years, and **IISC Bangalore** is at the top in the overall university category. In other categories, **IIM Ahmedabad** is first in management, **Hindu College (Delhi University)** in the college category, **NLSIU Bangalore** in law, **IIT Bombay** in innovation, and **AIIMS Delhi** in medical education.
This ranking is a positive sign, suggesting that our academically talented students will have the opportunity to study at these prestigious institutions. It means that only the already talented students will benefit from studying under top professors.
**However**, we need to understand if there is a ranking list for colleges that cater specifically to students who are academically weaker or less interested in traditional education. These students are pursuing various degrees and often believe that securing a government job will solve their career problems. Does the government have any relevant ranking lists for these students?
Our question is whether the government has identified institutions that not only rank at the top but also provide **adequate education** for students with lower academic qualifications. Are there special arrangements for students who struggle with standard education systems but are ready for government job opportunities?
**Our aim** is to determine if these academically weaker students are receiving proper and quality education to access employment opportunities equally.
In today's scenario, colleges and universities charge **huge fees** for education and placement, often between **4 lakhs to 50 lakhs**. Despite this, students receive mainly theoretical knowledge, often in poor lecture quality. Additionally, if the medium of instruction is not their native language, students from rural areas who are good in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths may fail or face backlogs due to difficulties with English.
**Questions to Consider:**
- Are students simply getting admissions for a **"decorative certificate"**?
- Are we getting trapped in the **education loan waiver** scheme?
- Are parents having to mortgage their **land** for their children's education?
- Are schools and colleges treating all students with the same standards, regardless of their academic capabilities?
- Do students from rural areas who struggle with English become backbenchers, while others advance?
- Are there many colleges where students **pay huge fees** but only attend for exams?
- Are students who are weak in studies often **neglected** by lecturers or professors?
- Are students forced to maintain **80% attendance** even if it means missing out on their hobbies?
- Are students compelled to attend classes even if they lack interest, due to fear of low marks in internal exams?
- Are there reports of students **committing suicide** in coaching classes or institutions like IIT?
- Are our children, after spending millions on degrees, **struggling to find jobs** worth ₹10,000?
- Are graduates working in **low-skilled jobs** like QR code pasting or security guard roles?
- Are children from rural areas working as **security guards** in cities after completing degrees like BA, MA, or BEd?
- Are graduates still working as **laborers** despite their degrees?
- Do political parties **promise jobs** but fail to deliver over five years?
- Are unemployed graduates turning to **drugs, alcohol, or extremist activities**?
**Final Question:** If colleges and universities cannot counsel students on their **field of interest** and guide them according to their hobbies, why are students and parents left in the dark? Their next 3 to 5 years become a **profitable venture** for these institutions. Once admitted, whether students study or not, their focus is solely on admissions and fees.
